Greetings Parker County

As I turned onto Hwy 51 this morning, I’ll admit, I was running 6 minutes behind when I planned to leave. Now having said that, I usually give myself an extra 10 minutes “just in case”, so I took a sip of my coffee, said a little prayer of thanks and headed out.
When people asked what I did the last 5 years, I’d usually answer, “Professional Volunteer”. You’d find me up at our schools for PTO or the Speaker’s Bureau, empowering students to realize and achieve their potential. Or perhaps I was helping the Glen Rose Animal Shelter with publicity that resulted in them being first to “Clear the Shelter” during an NBC 5 DFW campaign. Helping friends with small business strategies and executing marketing plans on a napkin over lunch led to the formation of my own marketing business, but truly, more to deduct expenses than report income. I was a SAHM that was committed to be the best mom and wife I could be…as I am now…but for this Mama, it was time to get back to doing what I love to do – help organizations tell their story that produces win-win-win results for them and their audience.
I am excited to be joining the Tara Stark Real Estate Group of Keller Williams. When I decided to go back to work full-time, it was important for me to do something that made a difference in people’s lives. Interesting that when I responded to a Facebook ad for a Keller Williams position, the team I would end up interviewing with, well their slogan is “Making a Difference”. Plus, their Mission Statement’s first four words are “To Make a Difference…” Coincidence? I prefer to see it as a prayer answered.
In my interview with Tara and her Executive Assistant Lauren, I learned quickly that the team’s mission to provide the highest quality real estate experience possible with professional results through honesty and integrity was not simply buzz-words. They asked questions of me, and I asked questions of them; their answers being tell-tale whether this was the right place for me, and my family.
It is the right place and I am so excited to be starting this new adventure in my life!
I look forward to all I will learn about the real estate industry. I’ve quickly learned that Keller Williams is an organization that invests in its teams, through proven models and tools that empower us from day one. That our personal goals are an important part of the process to achieving our Keller Williams team goals and that focusing on “The ONE Thing” will lead to success in all aspects of our daily lives. As an “info-junkie” I’m looking forward to sharing tools I’ve learned already, with my family when I get home.
And as I type this, I’m grateful for my “Dance Mom” friend who’s helping my daughter continue in her joy of dance class, as I’m finding my joy in being part of a team full-time again.
So back to my commute this morning…I’ll just share what I told Lauren earlier. How many people get to commute in our beautiful rural setting? With cows on one side of the highway then horses giving you a wink a few miles down? It really opened my eyes, and heart, to what a great new beginning this was. Hashtags, love them or hate them, sometimes say it best with simplicity… #blessed.
I am looking forward to serving our current and future clients of Tara Stark Real Estate Group of Keller Williams!
